1.How do we go about
getting a programme made?
If you have an idea for a
programme, we meet with you to get more info
and then prepare a detailed budget. If you are happy with our quote, we sign a working
agreement
and begin production.
We co-ordinate
everything needed to deliver a professional quality
end-product. It helps us to have a liaison person who we can work with
to get things done within your organisation.
2.What formats do
we need the programme on to market our products
internationally?
There are three main television
systems in use around the world and it's important to
know where you intend screening your programme before
making copies. We can advise
on the appropriate formats during the planning
stage.
With all our
films we make ' international tracks'
- these are sound tracks with everything except
the commentary, in case
you want another language version at a later stage.
Producing additional
language versions is simply a matter of translating
the original script, recording a new commentary and mixing
a new sound track.
3. What are the costs
involved?
Each programme
is completely
different from the one before it. Some require
only a day's shoot and the editing can be completed
in another day. Other programmes require
extensive travel and shooting and these costs
are added onto our usual production fees.
4. What hidden costs
are there?
Obviously if changes
are made to the production after we start work, these costs are added to the
original quote.
Experience has shown that with
adequate planning, there should be no need to modify
the production if the script has been well-written and the production planning has been done adequately.
If there
are over-runs as a result of our inability to perform,
these are done at no additional cost to you.
